Contemporary Mediterranean Symbolism
A visual research shaped by the Mediterranean, where myth, memory, sacred imagery and everyday symbols are transformed into a contemporary language.
Myth, memory
and the Mediterranean
Naples and the Mediterranean are not simply geographical references, but an inner landscape from which the artistic research originates.
The sea, Partenope, ancient mythology, sacred traditions, animals and fragments of everyday life continually return within the work as symbols of memory and identity.
These elements are not treated as nostalgic images of the past, but as living forms capable of connecting ancient narratives with contemporary experience.
Between the sacred
and the everyday
The work develops within a space where opposites coexist: sacred and profane, ancient and contemporary, personal and collective.
Painting, drawing, engraving, watercolour and mixed media become different ways of investigating the same question: how symbols survive, transform and acquire new meanings over time.
Rather than defining a single technique, the research is built through a continuous dialogue between image, matter, memory and cultural archetypes.
“Through art, we learn to look deeply into our soul.”
A continuous visual research
Trained at the Academy of Fine Arts of Naples, the artist developed his practice through experimental painting, visual arts and public art, while maintaining a strong relationship with drawing, printmaking and traditional graphic techniques.
His work moves between personal memory and collective imagery, creating a visual language deeply rooted in Mediterranean culture while remaining open to contemporary interpretation.
